Cutting the Red Ribbon

Among of the most popular bakeries in the Philippines, the Red Ribbon Bakery has become the most popular when it comes to providing some of the most luxurious and delectable collection of cakes across the country.

After nearly 30 years in its growth, Red Ribbon became the most successful bakeshop around the Philippines and even stretches its reaches across the world. What started as a hobby-induced business in 1979, along the old streets of Timog, Quezon City, Red Ribbon now boasts its growing number of over 170 outlets all over the country and 19 stores in the US.

Red Ribbon partly owes the majority of its popularity to Jollibee Food Corporation. Because of its acquisition in October 2005 by Jollibee Foods Corporation, a conglomerate of popular fast-food chains in the Philippines, Red Ribbon entered a new phase in its company history and aimed to become the biggest and fastest-growing bakeshop in the Philippines.

With Red Ribbon’s popular collections of cake, pastries, and food products such as lasagnas, macaronis, and pastas, Red Ribbon food products can now be purchased even on the internet. And among of the most reliable places to buy Red Ribbon products would be Express Regalo.

Express Regalo is an online gift shop based in the Philippines that specializes in offering a wide collection of gift items for Filipinos living and working abroad. Their collection includes gift baskets, beauty products, electronics and home appliances, flowers, prepaid cards, toys, and food products coming from some of the Philippines’ most popular restaurants including cakes from a genuine <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview(‘/outgoing/article_exit_link’);” href=”http://www.expressregalo.com/category.aspx?scid=5&cid=2″>Red Ribbon Bakery</a>.

Express Regalo was developed and launched to provide Filipinos abroad a fast, reliable, convenient and hassle-free way to shop and send gifts to their loved ones in the Philippines.

Part of what made Express Regalo to be very popular amongst the OFWs is because of its delivery services. Express Regalo is owned and operated by eLBC Direct, Inc., an LBC company that is dedicated to providing Filipinos overseas access to products and services apart from the traditional products offered by LBC.

So if you ever wanted to buy and send some food products coming from an authentic <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview(‘/outgoing/article_exit_link’);” href=”http://www.expressregalo.com/category.aspx?scid=5&cid=2″>Red Ribbon Bakery</a>, then visit Express Regalo at <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview(‘/outgoing/article_exit_link’);” href=”http://www.expressregalo.com”>expressregalo.com</a> for more details.

Cost Cutting Advice for Your Wedding

However, it is no surprise that we encounter great difficulty when planning our ideal wedding given the fact that the average UK wedding costs around £11,000, not mentioning the extra 15% you should accommodate for, similarly weddings across the pond average in at a whopping $30,000.

The main fact is that weddings cost, they cost big bucks, and if you want your Sylvia Weinstock cake and your Vera Wang dress then you better expect to pay for it. If, however, you are willing to make several sacrifices and a few compromises then I guarantee you will have an equally as good a wedding as you had always dreamed of for a more affordable price.

The biggest expenditures of a wedding has to be the reception; food, location and music. The biggest suggestions that I could make regarding these factors has to be, firstly consider making your own wedding cake. You don’t necessarily have to bake the sponge and ice it yourself, you could buy the sponge from a local baker, ice it using store bought icing and then decorate with flowers; get inspiration from the many wedding cake designers online, these cakes look very impressive but with a little intuition you too can create a masterpiece. If you are confident enough to ice the cake and its decorations yourself then check out the many YouTube videos that give detailed instructions on how you can create iced roses and the like.

Food for your wedding is in an important part of the entire day, and I would not suggest scrimping on it. Instead I would cut the number of people coming to the full ceremony and meal part of it, and invite everyone else afterwards. Save all the speech making and cake cutting until everyone else arrives so no one misses out on terrible best man speeches. No one said weddings had to be in a particular order so feel free to juggle around with the day’s proceedings.

For your reception, if you are looking for a band try and source a local unheard of band that will still play all your favourite songs. If you want a traditional band it is also worth looking into your local University to see if they have any pipe bands that may offer their services for cheaper. The biggest risk with this, however, is that they will not be good enough so ensure you hear them perform live before booking anything. As the reception wears on you may want a DJ, save money by using an MP3 player and renting the disco equipment instead. The key to this is to ensure you have your IPod fully stocked with all your favourite songs, compile a huge playlist that will last the entire reception and give someone, preferably a light drinker, the responsibility of keeping an eye on it.

Decorations are another great expense and again, I would suggest going to a professional for the supply of flowers. For centre pieces just go a little lighter than you would prefer, and add your own personal touches such as candles or sequins, be creative scour the internet for inspiration.

Admittedly doing all these things can take time, and if time is money to you then you may prefer to still go ahead with the bought wedding cake or designer flowers, but for those of you happy couple experiencing the tough side of the credit crunch and looking to save a few pennies then I would suggest at least looking into the recommendations I have made above, small sacrifices can save a lot of money.

Cost Cutting Tips For Brides

One of the biggest expenses of any wedding ceremonies and receptions is usually the florist. If you go with smaller, usually family owned florists, lots of times you’ll find you can get a much better deal. A good place to start looking is the local market, where small florists often have booths or small shops set up.

Always use the term “family gathering” whenever possible in your search for wedding services and suppliers. For reasons unknown to brides everywhere, the price of the same product or service always seems to be about 50% higher for a “wedding” despite no other differences being readily apparent. This is almost always true for caterers.

Try to get a caterer who will let you supply the cake yourself. The cake tends to be the most expensive food item and you can almost always get something much less expensive (and something much better!) at your local bakery. Supermarkets can also be a smart place to look if your local supermarkets have their own bakeries.

Some brides actually forget about the caterer altogether. If you have several family members who are willing to help out and have a little culinary skill it’s not too difficult to throw together a professional quality buffet. An important tip is to concentrate on cold foods such as rolled meats, cheeses, salads and even sandwiches or heros.

Take a look in all the the local department stores and bridal shops for clearance bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses. You’d be surprised what you can find. There are some really good deals waiting to be had if you’re a little flexible. For instance, did you know that the bridesmaids dresses don’t all have to match? If you can put together a good theme, you can do anything you like and it will look great.

Also, don’t forget to ask around. You never know when you’ll discover that your cousin’s boyfriend’s uncle owns a catering business or a flower shop, and those types of connections can sometimes get you better deals than you’ll find anywhere else.
